The antidote to every cosy holiday ad.

Every December, World of Tanks launches a new in-game commander with a Holiday Ops short, and every year the bar moves higher. Players love action and have no patience for clichés. In a season when every brand goes cosy, sentimentality was the one thing guaranteed to fall flat.

In gaming culture the hero is the one who breaks the script, even the Christmas one. So chaos became the celebration. Santa’s Stunt Double: Santa gets injured, a stunt double is summoned, and Jason Statham hijacks the set and blows up the script, on screen and as a playable commander in the game.

We led strategy, concept and narrative, from a five-day sprint to approval. Directed by Nez Khammal and shot at Warner Bros. Studios London with 100% and Glassworks, the film launched with the in-game event, December 2024 to January 2025.
